Pink or Blue????
We went in today for some bloodwork, and came out knowing the sex of the baby!!! How did that happen???? I guess maybe I pulled some strings!! (The nurse loves me. We swap recipes!) Allison just got to town from LA and I invited her to the appointment this morning. I was thinking we were doing just a routine ultrasound until the nurse said 'we're just doing bloodwork today'. So there we are....Conor, Allison, her new boyfriend I just met (Hey, we're all family), Audrey & me all about to walk back to the room to get bloodwork!!! I drug them out of bed for that??? So I asked the nurse if we could go ahead and do an ultrasound since Allison is in town and misses out on a lot. We did have to wait an hour, but it was all worth it. I was planning on not finding out, and having the nurse write it down but there was no way. I'm so impatient and I had to know, plus it was obvious on the screen. .....And with that, that is all I'm saying. I will leave it up to your imagination, cuz I'm not saying anything until the Gender Reveal Party on Jan 16th. I really hope I can hold out............Pink or Blue, Pink or Blue???? What do you think we are having???

Georgia On My Mind....

Me and my Peaches are packing up and heading east on Wednesday for the holidays. I can't wait to arrive and see Conor's family and friends. It warms my heart to visit his hometown and enjoy all the company that comes over to see us, in the house he grew up in. Maybe I'm sentimental, probably just hormonal.... I just know it's going to be 10 amazing days of good food, great company, and Audrey's 1st Christmas & New Years!! I can't wait! See you in 2010!!! Smooches from OKC!
::Merry Christmas to you and yours!!!::
It's Complicated....
I'm on a Meryl Streep kick, so I can't wait to see this romantic comedy this holiday season....

16 weeks....
::I woke up this morning feeling like I just ran a marathon. Every joint and muscle in my body is so sore. I've been stretching all morning, and nothing seems to help. Of course it's freezing out, so we are heading to the mall to walk it out. I hope it helps!::
Get ready for a growth spurt. In the next few weeks, your baby will double his weight and add inches to his length. Right now, he's about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces.
His legs are much more developed, his head is more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. His ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of his scalp has begun, though his locks aren't recognizable yet. He's even started growing toenails. And there's a lot happening inside as well. For example, his heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as your baby continues to develop.

Lost....
I broke our camera last week, and feel so lost without it. I was sick about it for days. I've been to 2 Christmas Parties and I have 1 coming up this weekend. How is one supposed to capture all the CHEER at these things or go on with no camera during the holidays?????? I've searched high and low for my camera backup and it's no where to be found. I'm so frustrated! We leave for Georgia in a week and my BF from LA will be here in less than that. I will have a meltdown if we don't get one before then!!! Just letting you know. Conor may have to take over this blog.

I'm getting 'Carried Away'.....

I can't even begin to tell you what a huge fan I am of this show!! I've seen all 94 episode since the show started in 1998. Actually, to call me a fan is an understatement!! I'm obsessed!! This movie is my 'Twilight'. I will be first in line to camp out @ The Warren Theater to get tickets for me and my girls. It comes out May 28, 2010, and yes that is right around my due date!! I may have to wait a month or so, so I can experience The Warren and all that it has to offer to my full advantage (bar & heated seats). That means you can find my warm booty sipping a cosmo and enjoying this movie with my ladies! Counting down the days!!!

Julie & Julia....
I've been waiting for this movie to come out for months, and we finally rented it On Demand tonight!! I cant remember the last time I saw such a cute movie. I fell in love. I'm really starting to love Meryl Streep as an actress. She is just adorable. I may need to make a dash to Barnes & Noble tomorrow to pick up a copy of Julia Child's cookbook. After watching this movie, I think it's a classic every woman should have.
This movie, I believe, just jump started my love for cooking again. For that, Conor is very grateful! :-)
::For the record, I will never debone a duck::

15 week checkup.....
Blood pressure was good, baby's heart rate was good (154), my weight was good (I've only gained 1 1/2 lbs, yippee!!! I'm really watching my sugar intake this time around), and we will switch my blood thinners around 36 weeks in case I go into labor early like I did with Audrey (3 wks early), so I WILL BE ABLE TO HAVE AN EPIDURALl!! That made my entire day. She told me a few months ago that I may not get to have an epidural because of my meds, and I nearly fell off the doctor's table...... Oh Happy Day!!!!

Hallelujah for Slow Cooking.....
Now don't get me wrong. I LOVE to cook, but lately I've lost all interest in whipping up my favorite dishes. By 5, I'm so tired and running on fumes the last thing I want to do is flip some meat...ick and clean up a dirty kitchen for that matter! I'm one of those cooks that has the kitchen that looks like the fridge just exploded. I'm starting to get back into it though. A few nights a week, I thank the genius who came up with this amazing invention!
:: Just throw it in, and turn it on....that's my kind of cookin::
After searching the web for slow cooker recipes, nothing really appealed to me. I'm despising meat at the moment (except chicken), so nothing looks good. I came across this on a fellow blogger's page, and it saved my appetite! Check out these slow cooker recipes! I will be making Chicken Parmesan tonight!

Third Time's A Charm...
After two failed attempts to get Santa Pics taken, we FINALLY caught up with him @ Northpark Mall.
This is exactly what we don't want. Is this the creepiest picture ever, or is it just me?
::No Crying Allowed::
Audrey didn't cry, or scream, or smile for that matter. She was very chill and sat on his lap like she does this everyday. No waiting in line, money goes to charity, baby girl didn't cry. It was a pretty painless and fun ordeal, & it's for a great cause. A successful day getting Audrey's 1st Santa pics taken. A milestone that has come & gone. (sniffle)
A woman that was standing nearby came up to us to wish us a Merry Christmas and to tell me that she has never seen a baby with such pretty porcelain white skin. Audrey proceeded to hide her face in my neck, somethings she's never done before. Our little girl is becoming shy.

Elf On The Shelf.....
For the first year, Mr. Elf is watching on Audrey's shelf.::If you haven't heard of Elf on the Shelf, then I
will fill you in on a charming little tradition::
Carol Aebersold, an editor-in-chief of
Dayspring Magazine started this tradition
when her children were very small. Like
most kids through the ages, they wanted
to know how Santa really knew who was
naughty or who was nice. Her answer, came
in the form of a small pixie-elf. The first time
the elf arrived at their home, her children
officially adopted him by giving him a name.
Each year he would arrive around the holidays,
usually at Thanksgiving. His sole responsibility
was to watch the children's behavior and report
it to Santa each night. The next morning when
the children awoke, they discovered the elf had
returned from the North Pole (with a little parental
encouragement) and was now resting in a
different place. Her children would race each
other out of bed to try and be the first to spy
him in his new position. The tradition provided
an added benefit: it helped the children to
better control themselves. All it took was a
gentle reminder that the "elf is watching,"
for errant behavior to be modified.
~Now I know Audrey is a little to young
to understand now, but I cant wait to
introduce our children to this sweet
tradition. ~
Company Party.....
We finally were all dressed up at the same time, so we took advantage of this moment and captured our Christmas card pic.
Our Hosts of the party....Barbara & Roger
Cousin Brad, myself, & Conor
This tree was so beautiful. It took 12 men to haul it into the Country Club and 7 days to decorate it.
How cute are we!
Photo Booth Time...
Oh Lord....
After the party, we looked at Christmas lights....this house reminds me of Candyland
