IKEA Love

When I was in Dallas a couple of months ago I, of course, had to run into Ikea for a few items. Kid in a candy store....

Here's my cable line in the hallway to display the girls artwork. Our fridge was getting cluttered to say the least with bringing artwork home twice a week, so I thought this was a much more organized and chic way to display their masterpieces.
I love it so much!
I just loved these fun wavy sticks. I had no idea where I was going to put them, but I knew I would find a place.
They remind me of birch wood, which I adore.
I heard OKC is getting an IKEA. Has anyone else heard this?
I would be one happy girl if that's the case. :)))

Halloween

I will forever love this picture. Snapped as we were leaving.
Halloween school party
Getting the girls ready for trick-or-treating was an interesting task to say the least.
Sugar High already
Love this shot of Ava. Taaa-Daaa
I made the girls' fairy wings out of wire hanger and panty hose, an idea from Pinterest. I let Audrey decorate her own and Ava's were covered in glitter flowers.
Love their green hair. Ava let me put make-up on her but Audrey did not. Shocking actually....
I was a gypsy with my fairies.
Love this shot
Meltdown to end the evening.

Catching you up...

I've been such a slacker blogger lately. There are so many fun things I need to catch you up on and I will do so throughout the week. Here's a few pics from my birthday dinner with my family. We went to my fave spot Bellini's for some wine, steamed mussels, chicken piccata, champagne and creme brûlée. It's very rare that my family sits down without 4 kids running around for dinner, so it was really nice to be able to enjoy that with them.

I will be catching you up on Halloween, Thanksgiving, my San Diego trip and more so stay tuned! :)

Ava

I found this old post that I forgot about from Ava's birthday that I never posted. (Bad Mom) Not much has changed other than Ava looks like a baby........ enjoy

After a two week hiatus, I'm happy to report Im alive, rested, I'm back and ready to hit the ground running again!!! In the last couple of weeks, we've celebrated Ava's 1st birthday, Mother's Day, & spent time with family & friends. I've tackled a couple of projects that have been on my to-do list for months and I'm not stopping there. Ava started MDO last week, so I've had the opportunity on Tuesdays and Thursdays to work on projects, and I'm loving it. And so is she. Things are well, the girls are doing great, Ava is teething again, Audrey is blabbering in sentences, Conor's working like crazy, and I'm trying my best to take care of everyone and myself. It's been so hectic lately that I'm having to remind myself to slow down and relax.

Tuesday was Ava's 1st birthday and her and I got to spend the day together running errands, celebrating with a cupcake, late lunch with Dad, boutique browsing on Western, & playtime with big sis. It was such a sweet day with my girl. One Year?? How can that be??

10 things that rocked my world this week

::BIRTHDAY WEEK::
1. I had the pleasure of spending 3 days with my bestest friends in the world. After arriving in San Diego we enjoyed some rooftop fun with each other and geared up for our 11-11-11 celebration!
2. Watching the sun set at Sunset Cliff was the highlight of my week!
3. Audrey picked out these Hello Kitty sunglasses at the store. She always insists on wearing glasses upside down. Love her so much!
4. My Thanksgiving mantle. Counting down the days until I can spruce it up with Christmas decor!
5. My Hub taking me out for my birthday lunch for Taco Tuesday.
6. Taking my girls for ice-cream after I picked them up from school. Audrey stole my cone.
7. Self timer shot of us playing outside before dinner.
8. Conor & the girls surprised me with a Nikon D5100 on my birthday!!! I'm ecstatic and honestly, a little intimidated. After we put the girls to bed, Conor & I ate my strawberry ganache birthday cake (which was heavenly), drank my favorite bottle of white wine and watched the dvds on how to work this bad boy.
9. Dinner with my family at my favorite restaurant, Bellinis.
10. The girls love to be my models so they got dolled up for me and let me practice with my new camera. The snow white dress looks a bit too small and they both fought over the tutu. I think it's time for more dress up clothes. Love my girls!
