Scenes from my week(end)

Go into Whole Foods for allergy medication and walk out with a hot pink orchid also. Perched in my brother-in-law's vase he gave to me three Christmases ago, I'm in love.
You should check out his website. Amazing artist!
Fun Fact about me: I'm a night owl~unless I'm wiped out and fall asleep at 9pm (like last night), but on many nights I'm wide awake, most always when Conor is out of town, painting my little heart out or working on other projects. And when I paint, I always watch It's Complicated. Weird and random yes! So I've seen that movie probably 30 times and it never gets old.
Two of my latest.
Valentines from the girls. They picked Disney Princess for their classmates.
They received a Valo~gram at school from us and were so excited!
Flowers from my sweet Hub.
He's the best!
Double-fisting candy
Sorting through their Valentines loot.
~The girls take over the kitchen~
When I start dinner, they grab their aprons and their kitchen supplies and love to help me cook. It can get a little crammed and chaotic but I love these moments with them. They really feel like they're doing something pretty special and that's really sweet to see.
Our nephew Baby Michael is getting so big!! Almost 1 year. Is he not the cutest!!
Fun fact about Audrey::
Audrey eats cherry tomatoes by the package. It's her favorite snack always. Tomatoes and blueberries.
New pair of running shoes. I'm so excited about them. I'm running my 1st half marathon in June with my best friend in San Diego. So it's official, the training has begun.
Mom, Audrey & I went antique shopping and found a few little treasures~
A tray that would look great holding my perfumes.
Painted with 2 coats of foil metallic spray paint and I think it looks better than new. I love it!
This picture is from a favorite blog I follow~ Live Creating Yourself. Her Chicago apartment is so eclectic and mixed with all different styles and I just adore it. After spotting these skinny, white candle holders on her buffet in her dining room, I've had a crush on them ever since.
Well lookie what I found for $1 a piece.
I felt like I won the lottery.

Hit up Home Depot for glossy white spray paint and it worked like a charm
These are very versatile and would work well as a centerpiece on the dining table for any holiday party or dinner.
The other 3 are temporarily on the mantle.
Happy Monday!

Obsessions

I live in dresses in the summer and this shirtdress looks so cute and comfy. It's the perfect denim blue in my opinion.

This print is so beautiful to me. It's not only available in a phone case but canvas, prints, iPad cover and more. Love that!

Still loving this pattern....

The thought of replacing our living room rug has been running through my mind for months. This is definitely a contender at the moment. And for a great price.

I've been eyeing this little urchin for quite sometime and it's so fun and classic, I personally don't think it will ever go out of style. Instead of opting for the wall art, I would proudly display it on a coffee table book.

I just adore these colorful wedges for spring/summer, don't you? You could really pull them off with just about anything. Especially the bottom pair, I like the pop of white.

Hope you have a great weekend!
I have absolutely NOTHING on my agenda this weekend, and I can't express to you how amazing that feels!!!
We talked about taking the girls to the zoo because they both have done so well with potty training this week. Ava has pottied twice this week! Not bad for 21 months. Following in her big sis's footsteps. Ava might be trained before Audrey. :/
Audrey started her meds today for a double ear infection, a killer rash and congestion. I thought Conor was free and clear of all of our colds, but it appears he caught the bug. :( Looks like I will be nursing my sick babies back into shape.
Wish me luck...

Scenes from our weekend

Dinner at Ludivine on Friday evening with Natalie & Regan. So great to catch up.
Saturday was our neighborhood Valentines Social at our neighbor's house down the street. I love our street and I love that we have get togethers twice a year. Ava's face cracks me up here.
Lovebug
Ava spared no expense with the Valentines jewelry accessories. Like mother like daughter.
The neighbors and the cutest balloon curtain I've ever seen.
The dance off in the living room
Audrey & Ava got a kick out of this baby stroller and actually fought over it a couple of times.
Taylor and Audrey are the cutest together. They adore one another and hold hands everywhere they go.
Saturday night I coaxed mom into coming over for taco soup and to also style the shelves in my china cabinet. She has such a knack for dish/accessory placement and did such a fantastic job with everything I had to work with. Thank you Mama!! XO
Since I had my chevron stencil and paint out already I went ahead and gave a little life to the top of my end table in our bedroom.
Possibly a little obsessed...
Saturday the girls and I braved the freezing temps and headed to Affair of the Heart for some shopping. We only made it to 2 of the 5 buildings before the girls started to get restless and sleepy. I found the most darling rose colored bangles to go with my new watch to achieve the layered look I've been wanting. And they we 40% off. Score!
We completed the girls Valentines love note boxes for their party tomorrow. Ava picked out Rapunzel stickers and Audrey went with Little Mermaid to personalize their box. They decorated them all by themselves with just a little help from mom. They are becoming very creative and I love that we enjoy doing things like this together.
Happy Monday!

Happy Birthday!!!!
She didn't know whether to bust through her birthday banner or play with it.
So she climbed under it.
cinnamon and blueberry french toast was her breakfast request
hanging Valentine's hearts in the front window that we made last year.
Birthday cupcake at Pinkitzel is our birthday tradition
Birthday balloon launch
tied wishes for the birthday girl
They thought this new tradition was pretty neat. :)
Happy Birthday Audrey!

Friday Randoms

Catching you up on life's happenings lately.....

I've had this gold mirror for several years and I'm shocked I haven't painted it sooner.
I had 2 yards of burlap left over from Audrey's party so I painted a Valentine's banner.
After: really lightens up the entry, don't ya think?
Celebrating my best friends husbands birthday at Blue Sage Studio where we watched the artists create a hand blown bowl that Sam got to take home. Such an awesome idea for a party. Pretty sure that's where we'll be celebrating mine this year.
Happy Birthday Sam!!
Enjoying some time out on the patio with Rachel, Colin and their new puppy Bandit . The girls loved him and we certainly enjoyed spending a day with them!
Dinner @ Pranzo
All dolled up and ready for school
We took an art lesson in Dallas and this is Conor's abstract. He's a Pro!
Making Valentine's boxes for school.
After my Grandmother passed away in 2010, I inherited her china cabinet that I've loved ever since I was little plus a bunch of her serving ware and dishes that she had stored in it. I'm very honored to have these items of hers and can't wait to organize over the weekend and get everything set up.
This is what her china cabinet looked like before.
And here it is after. I finally completed it late last night and I'm soooo proud of her! Isn't she a beaut!! I popped off the back and painted Permission Pink (coral) with a chevron stencil that I printed off of Pinterest and made my own stencil. After seeing this piece, I knew instantly this was my inspiration. The lines aren't perfect, but honestly it doesn't bother me. Spray painted the pulls and knobs with metallic spray paint and sanded the fire out of her. Added a little touch of turquoise and coral on the detailed curves on the hutch and after 2 months she is finally sitting pretty in my living room. I haven't decided if it will go in the dining or not. I kinda like it where it's at for now. But I love playing musical chairs with my furniture and accessories, so who knows.
details
Enjoy your weekend.
It's the girls and I all weekend while Conor and Sam head to Denver for a concert.
