Nesting Nutcases or Pregnant Powerhouses??

I don't know about all of you fellow Okie's out there, but I'm LOVING this Snow Storm!!! ! I've been on a cleaning streak and loving every minute of it. Not despising housework like I usually do. It's quite possible you could eat off my wood floors. The nursery is looking more like a nursery now. So far this week we've-cleaned out the garage, rearranged our bedroom and added Conor's desk, switched out entryway tables, washed every blanket, sheet, comforter and piece of dirty laundry, moved a dresser into Audrey's room, Conor & I switched closets, organized every drawer in my bathroom, dusted every piece of wood and glass, and I couldn't feel more refreshed!!!! I'm just rolling with it, because tomorrow I could be so exhausted that I don't even make it out of my PJs. You should see our donation pile in the living room just ready to be donated as soon as this weather calms down a bit. I'm not done there either. It's on again tomorrow too! I'm taking full advantage of being cooped up in the house for a weekend!! Being a nesting nutcase might be a little crazy –but when else is a busy mother supposed to have time or energy for this stuff? I'd like to think of myself as a pregnant powerhouse!

Ice Storm 2010

::This is the Ice Storm that hit OKC 2 years ago::

::The Oklahoma City metro area is located in an area the National Weather Service has labeled as the "greatest concern for damaging ice," as the winter storm is expected to peak this afternoon and tonight::

We're bundled up in the house (I'm still in my PJ's), watching movies (so far Dora & Yo Gabba Gabba. More adult friendly later this evening) organizing closets (New Years Resolution) & the nursery, eating (tonight's menu Pork Chops), hoping that the Ice Storm 2010 will spare our trees & electricity. Conor went out this morning and got a generator just in case. So we're good in that department. We're just worried about the 50 yr old backyard tree that broke in the 2007 Ice Storm that has a nice little lean to it. A lean that could quite possibly fall into the house worse case scenerio. Conor told me this morning we may have to sleep in the living room because if the tree would fall, it would fall right into our bedroom. I'm praying it holds out until the summer when it goes to tree heaven. So sad and yet so neccessary!

For The Love Of Turquoise....

It's My New Favorite Color......
My little helper...We went antique shopping yesterday in search of the perfect dresser for the new nursery....I love this corner nook shelf. Painted the right color, it would make a great place for toys. I may have to go back and get it.
I loved the shape of this side table.
Great finish.....
I saw this a couple of weeks ago and went back to purchase this item, but it was gone when I got there. I will say a blessing in disguise...
This was another cute one I saw that I was debating on. Great price at $155!.....
And Another......
But I always went back to this one!! It was love, & I couldn't walk away without it. Proud new owner & it looks gorgeous in the new nursery!! At $245 for both tables, I thought it was a heck of a deal!
::SOLD:: Baby Girl O'Reilly's 1st piece of furniture!
I love the gold scroll writing details......
My day was made! And I smiled the whole way home! :)
