4 month check-up

Ava's 4 month check-up required 3 shots & a weigh-in. Baby girl did very well! Only cried for a few seconds and was back to all smiles. Ava weighed in at 12 lbs 15 oz and is 24 1/2 in long. What a hoss. She's doing so well and sleeping through the night. She is laughing at her big sister daily. She has rolled over twice. She squeels like a little piglet, which is my favorite sound of hers. She is reaching for toys and highly anticipates feeding time. She is grasping at her bottle & trying to hold it herself. She is sitting with support and loves her Bumbo chair! She is very good at soothing herself which is amazing, considering she has never used a binkie. Very proud of that one! We're so proud of our growing baby girl. She is a little doll and it has been such a pleasure being her mommy.

Fly Fishin'

Conor & his dad got to spend some time together last week while fly fishing in Wyoming. They were gone for 7 days and spent their time on the water catching {catch-and-release} trout. I don't believe the pictures do this beautiful place on earth justice.

Weekend Fun

We stopped by Nana & Papa's Friday afternoon to visit and see how the garage sale was going.
Saturday afternoon was my 1st volunteer session with 'Cultural Literacy', which is my placement this year. We had it at the downtown library & I'm so thrilled about it! We teach children about different cultures, do arts & crafts, serve them lunch, & describe artifacts. This session was all about Latin America. The kids were so sweet and very excited to learn.
Saturday night we celebrated Whitney's birthday with a pool party at Traci's house.
Love these ladies!
Birthday Girl!
Traci's house is absolutely gorgeous and we had the perfect view of the sunset.
Traci's office is my favorite room in the house. How adorable is that hot pink desk!?
Bright accessories
Love that bright blue wall! The picture hanging on the wall is framed wallpaper, How clever!
Whitney & I
On Sunday, my sister and nephews came over for lunch and to play with the girls. I whipped up some Reuben sandwiches, my sister's favorite.
Ava Rose

I have absolutely nothing on my agenda this week which I'm thrilled about. Summer has been so incredibly busy and I'm looking forward to the calmness this week is going to bring.

Hope you have a fantastic week!

The Girls

After we dropped Audrey off at school and ran errands all morning, we decided to get some cuddle time in before we had to pick Audrey back up. These are such precious moments for Ava & I. A quiet house. No interruptions. Just momma & daughter hanging out. These are the moments I treasure & will miss so much when the girls are grown.
She loves my Temperpedic pillow. Instant calmness.
This is how I sleep also. Not a care in the world.
Nana & Papa came to say hello to us. They had been out shopping for kitchen stoves all morning. Ava will talk your ear off. She's been cooing up a storm.
After Audrey got home from school, it was time to read a Christmas story to Ava. Apparently Audrey's getting ready for the holidays. Christmas will be so fun this year!
Look who found her feet!
Afternoon Photo Shoot
Picking up Audrey at school. Look at little Ava peeking her head around her car seat. Such a sweetie!
She's always so excited to see me.
Showing me her coloring skills.
A little cuddle for Elmo.
We stopped and got her an apple juice for being a sweet little girl.
Audrey's ready for Ava to be a little bigger so she can have a playmate.
After dinner, sitting in her Bumbo Chair watching her sister run around.
Hope you are enjoying your week!
