Audrey started walking 2 weeks ago. She is getting the hang of it. She still crawls when she can't get to something fast enough. She usually wakes up in between 5 and 6 am with the biggest smile on her face and with the craziest hair I've ever seen. It wakes me up instantly! She holds onto the railing & jumps in her bed until I pick her up. She loves stuffed animals and will hug them tight around the neck. She also gives kisses and likes to say 'mmmah'. She likes getting eskimo and butterfly kisses as well. She loves whispers in her ear. She will lean closer. Her eyes are changing. More of a blue/green now. She still has 8 teeth. She has the prettiest eyelashes I've ever seen. And lips. and smile. I could go on. She loves all food. Except carrots. She drinks OJ in the morning and water & milk for the rest of the day. She sleeps about 13 hours in one day. She loves water bottles. She likes to drink out of straws. She likes to dig in her diaper bag and pull everything out. She's obsessed with diapers and wipes. She likes to suck on wipes. And washcloths. She adores bath time and is obsessed with my makeup remover bottles. After her bath when I take off her towel to put lotion on, she will get a chill, do a shake, smile, and leap into my arms. It melts my heart. She is the sweetest little girl. She is always in a great mood. She loves to travel and watch DVDs in the car. She loves a good party. She is a people watcher. She loves to feed Marley her food from her highchair. She loves Yo Gabba Gabba, Baby Einstein, Dora & Blues Clues. She can give a high 5. She watches me brush my teeth and tries to imitate me. She hates bows and hats in her hair, but I still try. She loves my jewelry and doesn't mind wearing jewelry of her own. She loves to stare at herself in the mirror. She can brush her hair if you ask her to. She adores books. She is saying dada, mama, nana, papa, baby, bye bye, hi, nite nite, baba for bottle & doggy. She only says 'mama' when she is upset. She is trying to bark like a dog. She says 'oo oo oo'. She loves to socialize and go shopping. She loves Music Gymboree. She has a ton of toys, but prefers electronics~cell phone, tv remote, computer, camera & our home phone. She loves to play peek-a-boo. She watches me put on my lipstick in the rear view mirror and she will try to imitate me blotting my lips. I have to watch what I do and say at this point in the game. She is my mini sponge. She loves her dada. Her face lights up when he comes through the door after work. She is around 23 pounds but feels much heavier to me. I look forward to watching her grow. I can't wait to have conversations with her. I look forward to watching her become more independant and experiencing the world through her eyes. I feel so fortunate that I get to raise her throughout the days and not have to listen to a babysitter tell me what she accomplished that day. I can't wait for her to play with and teach her little sister a thing or two. I can't wait for our tomorrows. She has brought more joy, peace & love into my world and I can't imagine life without her or her daddy! I'm a very blessed woman and thank God everyday for this experience! Tuesday, February 16, 2010
