~Audrey Caroline~
You turned 20 months old today!! I can't quite get over how big you're getting. We did the potty dance for you last night because you went {do I dare say it} poopy in your potty for the first time! I was so proud, and yet very disturbed at the same time! Ha! It's a whole new ball game now.
You've been in Mother's Day Out for a few months now and love it! We both do. You have become very independant and quite the social butterfly. Every now and then you will hide your face when you have a shy moment, which is rare. My heart skips a beat when I pick up your artwork at school. How am I ever going to be able to throw anything away ever again. I'm not. I have a box devoted to your creativity.
You love Elmo {Mo-Mo}, and will search the house for him before bedtime. You love story time before bed and after your bath, which is my favorite moment of the day with you. You're so happy. All the time. Until you're not. You will throw yourself down in a dramatic display of attention when you want something and can't have it. I can't help but chuckle inside. Your little chipped tooth smile melts my heart every day.
Your vocab is progressing very nicely. 'Shoe' is your newest word, even though you hate to keep them on your feet. You're so my girl! A very girly girl that loves to eat dirt and run around the house in your birthday suit. Your hair is getting so long and I love to run my fingers through your curls. You still hate bows and it's getting hard to do much with your hair because you undo everything.
You love to dance. You love to create art & color (I've had to take away some crayons due to you eating them). You love movies. You love to swing. You love to walk up stairs. You love tea parties. You love books. You love your little sis. You kiss her feet. You love to help feed her. You're starting to play by yourself in your room. You love all foods, especially fruit.
Today~ You had school this morning. After I picked you up we went and got a pizza for tonight. We painted a picture for Daddy {he's in Montana fly fishing for a week} that I will have framed for him. You layed Elmo down on your happy nap and covered him up with the covers and said 'shh'. It was so sweet, and the first time I've seen you do that. You're becoming quite motherly with your dolls and baby sister. You watched Sesame Street {one of your favs} and pointed and waved at Elmo on the TV. You took a bath with me this evening because you wont sit down in the tub at the moment. You helped me feed Ava. You are already taking on the role of Big Sister beautifully! You grabbed my hand so we could dance together when the music came on Nick Jr. I believe you will sleep very well tonight. Tomorrow we will go get a cupcake and a toy to celebrate your big day!
You have been such a joy! We love you so very much and we're proud of the little girl you are and the little lady you are becoming!
