Fly Fishin'

Conor & his dad got to spend some time together last week while fly fishing in Wyoming. They were gone for 7 days and spent their time on the water catching {catch-and-release} trout. I don't believe the pictures do this beautiful place on earth justice.

Savannah (part 3)

We decided instead of going back to the hotel to get ready, we we're just going to restaurant hop all evening

1st stop of our restaurant tour was The Haunted Mercer Hotel for some Beef Carpaccio with a dijon mustard aioli, shaved parm cheese, spinach chiffonade & crispy capers. To die for!

Next stop was The Seasons of Japan

It was time to go back to the hotel. Can you tell how exhausted we were? Such a FUN evening! Instead of getting dressed up again and going to dinner, I would much rather restaurant hop and grab a appetizer at each one. So glad we did that!

JC2 Design was our final stop in Savannah before our 4 hour road trip back home to find the perfect little something for our home.

I was in luck! I purchased the silver coral {on the bottom right} to remind us of our fabulous, hot, & spontaneous trip to Savannah!

Love that town!

Savannah (part 2)

So after spending a day in Savannah, we decided to drive to Tybee Island for the day. What a cool little place! The first stop was lunch at The Crab Shack.

It was a HOT day in Tybee, so our next stop was the beach to stick our feet in the cool Atlantic.

There's something very refreshing about not having an agenda of where to go. Leaving the daily grind behind and wandering through the sites of a 'new' town. With a 'to-do' list controlling my every move back at home, it was soooo wonderful to not know our next destination. And that's exactly what we did for the rest of our stay.

I picked up some tiny souvineers as a reminder of our day together in Tybee to put in our keepsake box.

"Toes in the water"...... now if my a** was in the sand, it would've been perfect.

Since we were literally dripping with sweat from the smoldering Georgia heat, we were in search for one thing only......

And Benny's had it! 'Coldest Beer In America'!

Just what we needed to cool down!

After an afternoon full of shopping, a couple of beers, and sight-seeing, we stopped off at the lighthouse on our way out of Tybee. Conor is terrified of heights (something I learned on our drive to the lighthouse, I can't believe I never knew that), so we admired the view from down unda.

This is probably one of the most gorgeous trees I've ever laid my eyes on. This pic does not do the height, curves & twists of the branches, and width justice. Simply amazing!

Here we are back in Savannah, cruising through the shops trying to find a great place to stop and look for a trinket for the house to remind us of our Savannah trip. It's something I try and do everywhere we go.

This little store called One Fish Two Fish was so fabulous!! As I'm getting older, my decor tastes are changing and I'm welcoming it. I'm looking for the perfect starburst mirror and they had a plethora of them. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

I love this gold tier shelf and turquoise dresser against the white walls.

If we had an extra 3 grand to throw down on some art, I would've snagged these paintings up for our living room in a heartbeat.

I love the turquoise peeking threw the green finish on this side table. A great idea for a project in my near future.

I'm in love with gray walls. It's my new thing. Gray is a hard color to pick out because the lighting of a room tends to turn it a different color (lavender, light blue). This is such a perfect shade of gray and I love the pops of white, turquoise, and orange. This is exactly what I'm slowing trying to achieve in our home.
