DIvine Bedrooms....

I'm always running ideas through my head when it comes to interior design and decorating. I'm constantly moving things around or getting rid of things that I've outgrown or don't LOVE anymore. I think decorating or in my case re~decorating is a never ending process of creativity. It's not that I'm bored with my stuff, I just love to see where accessories look their best and shine, which brings me to this question. I've always wondered why my bedroom is the last room to get my attention and love? I will clean the house spotless , but leave our bedroom in a mess. And don't even get me started on my closet!! Over on my side of the bed I have 2 boxes filled with all my arts and crafts & sewing projects because I literally don't have any room to store them. So this year I want to concentrate on our bedroom. I want to adorn our bedroom walls with photos from our wedding & photos of the kids. We're converting the master into an office for Conor as well so it will be a tad bit crammed. I will have to lose a nightstand in order to fit his humongus desk that he refuses to get rid of for a smaller one to accomodate our bedroom space. I'm okay with that though. All I do is stack about 15 books and magazines, water bottles, bottles of lotion, & jewelry on top of it anyway. So it's a win win situation I suppose. It's a work in progress, but I l know everything will be okay when I lay my head down on that temperpedic mattress each night! It makes it all better, no nightstand or not!

::I used to hate white walls, but I'm starting to have a newfound respect and love for them lately. This is one of my favorite bedrooms in Elle Decor with the colorful, bold, yet small artwork in gold frames, the gold chandelier and the punch of red. So Crisp! So Genius!::
'Carried Away' by this blue... Nate Berkus once said that every room should have a piece of coral in it, and I have to agree. I ordered all my coral pieces from Ebay.
I love the color of our bedroom. I also have a fondness for powder blue these days. After spending 2 years in a red bedroom, I like the softness and calmness that the color combination of light blue and brown bring.....
Royal Treatment. This bed is so beautiful and look @ that chandelier....
I love this punch of turquoise damask......
I loved this for a little girls room....
My husband would never go for this romantic girly decor, but it would be a perfect idea for a quest bedroom.....

I heart mirrored furniture.....
Not crazy about the bed or night stands (I do love the lamps though), but what drew me to this picture was the way the art was displayed and the corner reading nook....
I like the idea of using a chair as a nightstand....not that I have room for one.

ok... so pretty much every time I hear of a house that has like 10 or more rooms, I think to myself.."Self, what the heck to people do with 10 plus rooms?" Well, now thanks to you Jen, I know what people do with 10 plus rooms... They decorate them and then re-decorate them! They buy Elle Homes and Vogue Homes and copy them to a tee!
