Pregnancy Quiz.....

How Far Along – I am 24 weeks today. Feeling great as I enter into my 3rd trimester. The energy I have is beyond me.~Total Weight Gained/Lost –I am 9 lbs over my pre-pregnancy weight as of last week.

~Maternity Clothes –I love my velour maternity suits and have been wearing them a ton up until about 2 weeks ago when the pants started getting tight around the lower belly. Shoulda got the large. My typical outfit consists of jeans, stretchy shirts, hats, flats, & scarves. Anything comfy, of course, and I can't get into my pj's fast enough!!

~Sleep – In the last 2 weeks, I've been waking up quite a bit to switch sides. Putting a pillow in between my knees seems to help. It's not that I'm hurting (yet), I just can't really get comfortable.

~Best Moment of the Week – Dropped an entire pizza I had just taken out of the oven onto the floor with pizza sauce flying everywhere, dropped and shattered a glass into a million pieces & I put Audrey in the tub with her socks on. This is all in one day. Classic. Pregnancy makes me clumsy.

~Movement – Well she is still in breech position, so I feel her kicking and moving way down low. She's an active little thing. All day I feel her moving, but especially when I lay down at night. During the day when I'm driving I turn it to classical and the girl goes wild! Audrey did the same when I was pregnant with her.

~Food Craving –Fruit! On Sunday I made a huge fruit platter for Superbowl Sunday that I basically demolished on my own. Cheese sticks, popcorn, apples with peanut butter & it's so cliche, but pickles!! Of course I'm craving the naughty food like powdered donuts, nerds candy, strawberry pop tarts & ice cream but I'm sticking to my game plan! I will indulge every now and then, but typically I stick to the same meals...sandwiches, fruit, granola bars, forcing myself to eat chicken, soup and salads, hummus.

~Food aversions – MEAT! Ick!

~Morning sickness – I am blessed to be one of 'those' women that hasn't suffered from morning sickness, emotional mood swings, or crabbiness (well maybe just a little crabby. I get annoyed and impatient very quick now a days). I am, however, suffering from severe road rage if anyone gets in my way. Ha! People need to learn how to drive!

~Gender – A sweet baby girl! And yes, I can already tell.

~Labor Signs – No Braxton Hicks just yet, but I am feeling the ligaments in my lower belly starting to pull and stretch causing some discomfort and pain.

~Belly Button – Still there, just a little bigger now. I'm trying to teach Audrey where her belly button is, so I will show her mine. She's obsessed with it.

~What I miss –High heels, sushi, wine!!! Can't wait for June and our 1st date night post baby.

~What I'm looking forward to –The minute she is born and knowing she is healthy.

~Weekly Wisdom – Attitude is Everything!

~Milestones –Your baby's growing steadily, having gained 4 ounces since last week. That puts her just over a pound. Since she's almost a foot long, she cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but her body is filling out proportionally and she'll soon start to plump up. Her brain is also growing quickly now, and her taste buds are continuing to develop. Her lungs are develoing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help her air sacs inflate once she hits the outside world. Her skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon.

~Worst case scenario – blood clot, preclampsia, c-section

~Best case scenario - Having a healthy & beautiful baby girl we get to shower with love and introduce to big sister Audrey! I can hardy wait to raise these two precious little ladies!!
