My best friend Jennifer & I headed to LA to celebrate Allison's 30th birthday celebration. I wasn't planning on going because of the new baby and it being Father's Day Weekend, but Conor surprised me with a plane ticket to California to celebrate with the ladies! I have the best husband in the world!
Allison assumed I wasn't coming because initially I wasn't planning on it. So this is me hiding out waiting for her to pick us up.

Scott rented us a limo that drove us down to Venice Beach where we had dinner at C & O Trattoria. This gentleman was handing out 'garlic knots' as we entered the restaurant. They were so yummy!!


The wine was overflowing and we cheersed to each other all night!

We were so happy to be together. We haven't gotten to hang out like this over a couple of bottles of wine in 3 years. Pregnancy & Allison living out of state has slowed down our social life.
Who knew she would become so domestic? We enjoyed warm chocolate chip cookies and an after dinner night cap back on the patio.
Scott, Allison's boyfriend, made their patio furniture. He doesn't know it yet, but I'm putting him to work the minute he sets foot in Oklahoma. He is so talented!

Jen & I decided to take a cruise before brunch at World Cafe and a little shopping after before our flight back home

Wonderful Trip to Cali, but I was ready to get back to my family after the 2nd day. I did get to enjoy 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep! It was wonderful. I felt like a new woman. Just what I needed to refresh the soul!
