Big Girls Don't Cry.....

So Tuesday was the Big Day! Audrey started her 'Junior Monkey' Children's Day Out (CDO)! I had mixed emotions the week prior. I'm so happy and thrilled for her. It will do wonders for her social skills (not that our little social butterfly needs any help in that department) & her ability to learn to share with other children. They work on art, dance to music, visit the ice cream truck on Thursdays, dress up to certain themes on Tuesdays, among others things. On the other hand, our baby girl isn't a baby anymore. I can't believe she is 18 months and starting to talk to me & imitate me. I want to freeze time. I'm not ready for her to grow up, but I know it's time and the best is yet to come!

She's got her lunch box and she's ready to go. She wouldn't put down her tooth brush. I had to snag it from her before she went to class.
Just a few more minutes of Elmo....
She looks like she's ready for her big day!
Then again....maybe not! This is her running after me. It's always tough to leave your screaming child in the hands of someone else. My heart sank.
That was short lived though. When I picked her up she was bouncing off the walls. She was the only one (out of 19 kids) who didn't take a nap & her teacher said she rocked out to music time. That's my girl! I knew she would love it! She fell asleep before we left the parking lot and took a 3 hour nap! Wow!

And she sucked it down in no time at all.
While Audrey was at CDO, Ava & I got some very quiet and precious down time with each other. We had a long night, so we were both exhausted and took a nap while we had the chance.
