We celebrated {cousin} Angie's birthday at Cheevers this past week with close friends. One of my favorite restaurants in the city. One of their signature dishes is chicken fried steak with jalapeno gravy and potatoes. It looked yummy, but I went for the special~bacon wrapped scallops and risotto. It was so nice to have a quiet wine dinner with close friends and family. It was just what I needed after a busy week with the kiddos. That and a big, fat dirty, grey goose martini with blue cheese stuffed olives.
Happy Birthday to Angie!
Like a fine wine, she get's better with age.
Isn't it amusing when the server sets dessert down in front of everyone, and you say "oh, only 1 bite". This was so huge and so amazing, it was just too tempting to not pick back up my spoon. Just ice cream, with carmel, chocolate sauce & nuts. But, it was heaven on a plate. There was nothing left by the end of dinner. :)
Angie & Don

Celebrating again a few days later on OU/TX @ The Simons.
Such a beautiful fall night out on the patio, it reminds me of almost 2 years ago to the day when we had our reception here.
Perfect setting for a party!
Conor was our chef this evening. He grilled up some amazing bacon wrapped filets & lamp chops with mint jelly! He never disappoints!
Football+Family+Food=A Perfect Saturday
Ava wrapped herself up with Laura's pearls! A girl after my own heart.

Playing outside with the kiddos
Happy Birthday to Angie!! This is going to be the year a big wish comes true for her, I can feel it!
