Chandeliers

I've been browsing for chandeliers online and in stores for almost a year now. Of course, everything I love is waayy out of my price range.
I found these beautiful chandys on Overstock.com and I couldn't believe the price! All are priced for under $200!!!
The only lighting in our dining room is 4 can lights on dimmers. I never like the light on full blast because it gets so hot (especially while entertaining) and the lighting tends to be a little too harsh. I'm a fan of soft lighting. But, when I turn down the lights a tad, there is this awful buzzing sound. It drives me crazy. Anyway, I'm wanting a glamourous chandelier to provide the lighting I'm craving without the buzz sound and hefty pricetag. I think I may be in luck. Love it when that happens.

This one is my fav, I think. Very elegant and glam!
Also available in white
I love this one because it's so unique and bold!
Simple and elegant
Sparkley shades! This would be so pretty with the light reflecting off the shades.
Any favorites that caught your eye??

High on Gloss

If you haven't heard of High Gloss Magazine yet, then let me introduce you. This is by far my favorite magazine hands down, and I'm a magazine junkie. They aim to inspire you on every level. They touch on fabulous interior design stories, new decorating ideas, the latest in fashion and accessories, unique perspectives on entertaining, and exciting features on some amazing travel destinations. This mag is where it's at!!!
{I only wish they would publish it. Maybe in my case it's a good thing it's a digital magazine, since I hoard my magazines in many piles throughout our home. :)}

It features~

What To Wear For All Occasions
Dream Closets Galore
Kitchen Inspiration (needing that rug)
Now do you see my dilemma with pillows?
Great Ideas For Entertaining
Summer Lovin On The Patio
You have to check it out!!

Audrey's 'Big Girl' Bedroom Inspiration

My project this week is to find Audrey a 'big girl' bed. She was 2 in January and I'm thinking it's a good age for the transition. This is my inspiration photo and I'm drooling over it! The bed is so stunning as well as the white ruffle bedding so all week I've been on the look out for something very similar. I love the subtle hint of blue and green on the 2 pieces of furniture. I know I sure would have sweet dreams here.
And I found it!!! At least I thought I did. I searched craigslist for an antique bed and this is what I found!!! It's PERFECT!!! And a steal for $165! Well I made arrangements to have Conor pick it up on his way out of town since he was heading to Dallas this week anyway. Sounds too good to be true, huh? Well it was. The gentleman who owns the antique shop in Garland, TX hadn't updated his website in a week, so the bed sold on Saturday. I got my hopes up so high and was pretty bummed when I heard the news. So the search continues. :(
Another inspiration pic.... Love the quilt from Pottery Barn but I think I like the white ruffled comforter more.
Target has the bedding I have my eye on
I would love to continue on with the Shabby Chic theme and the color scheme all white and incorporate pops of color with accessories.
How pretty is that turquoise bed....
I found these pillows on Etsy and thought they were so fun & chic. Not really a fan of the actual pillow, but the fabric flowers is what drew me to this. And that would be so easy to make.
Off to hit up some antique shops...Wish me luck, apparently I'm gonna need it. :)

Plate Update

I stumbled across the cutest inspiration photo of this shabby chic kitchen with a lovely display of plates.
I have a collection of my grandmothers plates that I spread out in Audrey's room above her bedroom & closet doorways. I liked them in their old position, but thought they would make more of an impact if they were clustered together.
I thought next to her top shelf would be the perfect spot to put them.
I think it adds so much to this wall, exactly what it was missing. Other than some photos I need to put in her hanging gold frames. (She's 2 and I still haven't gotten around to that, pathetic I know)
Not much has changed in Audrey's room since we brought her home from the hospital, except a dresser for her clothes and a LOT of toys. I still love the shabby chic look and the plates always put a smile on my face since they were Grandma Ruth's.

Decor Stencils

Cutting Edge Stencils offers a range of fun decor stencils! These are what I have my eye on for an accent wall in the dining room.

Trellis Allover Stencil. I love this but am wondering if it's too busy for such a large scale.
Moroccan Allover Stencil
Aladdin Allover Stencil
Zagora Allover Stencil
Casablanca Allover Stencil, my fav!
So tell me! Which one is your favorite??

Dining Room Decisions

I love sooo many different looks and styles and consider my taste to be very eclectic. I'm overwhelmed with all my ideas which makes it difficult to decide on one particular thing. I LOVE our home and everything in it, but feel like it's not really my style sometimes. I know how weird that sounds considering most of it, if not all of the accessories were mine before we got married. For the last year, I've been giving away/donating everything I'm not in love with anymore. With most all of our furniture being hand-me-downs or pieces we've inherited, which that I'm VERY grateful for, I'm craving more of a polished, put together look. And since the furniture is here to stay, I have to create that more 'polished, put together' look that I'm craving with paint, fabric & accessories.

~So with that being said, here's a glimpse of some of my ideas to create that space~

I love this mood board and am thinking along the same lines as the color palate. Whites, grays, black
I adore:
~gallery wall above the console
~gray stripes
~of course, the Imperial Trellis fabric on the chairs
along with this gallery as well....
Dramatic Affect:
~Black & White Stripes
~Star burst mirror
I like this look with the rustic farmhouse table, and black & white accents
This is the gray I'm leaning towards for the dining. Very dark & cozy. Really love the look of the settee and mis-matched chairs.
Maybe one accent wall of this wallpaper/stencil

Pillow Decisions

Here are a few of my favorite pillow designs I'm pondering over.
Etsy has the BEST selection, I believe.
We have a deep orange/bronze couch and I'm wanting some fun, colorful pillows to mix it up. These are my favs:
Love this tie dye from West Elm

Valentine Centerpiece

I ran across this lovely photo as I was trying to get ideas for a Valentines Day spread. I have a feeling mine won't be as fancy, but love this idea!

Enjoy your day!
We are snowed in......again.

Closet Envy

I LOVE this closet!
I'm craving more organization, glamour and space in mine.
I love the thought of a closet not just being a place to hang your clothes and store your shoes, but an extended part of your home that doesn't need to be ignored. By adding fresh flowers and a pretty chandy, it can be a lovely sitting area for you to relax, dress and put on your make-up
It's a mini Mariah Carey closet
This closet is ridiculous, in a good way
