Pin Party

Pin Party # 2 took place a couple of weeks ago and it was so fun! I must say I look forward to these parties so much to be able to hang with the girls, make something for our home and eat some yummy food.
Mom & I (& Audrey) made Christmas candle holders out of epsom salt and a glue mixture to give the illusion of snow.
Jenni's Thanksgiving Wreath
Jen K & Regan making more Fall Wreaths
Allison & Jenni with their Halloween Wreaths.
Courtney's Lollipop Tree for her daughter's candy themed birthday party.
Audrey lending a helping hand. Such a great helper!
Popcorn Cake~Recipe found here.
Poppyseed Ham & Cheese Sliders~Recipe found here.
Spinach dip~Recipe found here.
S'mores brownies~Recipe found here.
Potluck Style!!
The finished product!
Mom made her candles out of mason jars. Love em'!
I made mine out of votives.
They produce a nice little glow, but I have to warn you they are messy. It's probably a good idea to seal it with some sort of sealer.
I just marked our next Pin Party on the calendar for October.
I'm so excited and trying to figure out what my next project will be.
Maybe make one of these apps....

It's officially Fall and I'm LOVING every minute of it!!

Scenes from our Weekend

This weekend we enjoyed the Fairy Ball, reading books and a picnic in the park.

Creating flower halos for the Fairy Ball
The Paseo Arts District hosts this every year and this was our first year in attendance and definitely not our last. The Ball featured ballet dancers dressed as fairies, face painting, flower halo/magic wand making, snow cones and music.

the most amazing sunset from our chairs....
Ava catching up on some sleep.
Nana reading a book to Audrey before bed
Picnic in the park
on the menu:: tuna salad sandwiches~pickled okra~sweet pickles~bananas~pb&j~chips & salsa~lemon cake. We are having perfect picnic weather!

Only 5 more days and The Hub will be back home after a 10 day trip. I wouldn't have been able to survive without the help of my mom and step dad this weekend. A BIG shout out to them for saving my sanity and stepping in to help me entertain the girls.

Hope you enjoyed your weekend!

Happy Monday

Happy Monday!
We had a great low key weekend.
Audrey spent the night with Nana & Papa on Friday so Ava & I got to spent some alone time together for once.
Football season is here so that means I've lost my hub for a while. He spent the majority of the weekend with his buddies watching games.
Organized/cleaned, ate good food, watched football, celebrated Heidi's birthday and I caught up on some much needed rest on Sunday while Conor entertained the girls. It was heaven!
We actually had a bit of fall weather this weekend!
Is there anything better than the changing of seasons from summer to fall?

While I was cleaning and organizing the house back into shape, Ava snagged my kitchen sponges and wouldn't let go.
Feeding herself applesauce is quite the mess
So we enjoyed some bath time together.

Her hair is reallllly trying to grow...
Saturday brought beautiful weather, a day of celebrating Heidi & a football watch party. One of Heidi's gifts was a swing/slide play set. The girls had no fear.
Heidi, Ava & Audrey bouncing like crazy!

We made a necklace for Heidi after she pointed out that she loved Audrey's.
Now they're twinks.
A Tangled Party
Vava went to town on the cake.
Loving my PhotoStudio app!
Julee and I on the patio watching the storm roll in. It felt sooo great. Shortly after, we lost power so that put an end to the birthday/watch party!
My weekend ended with some heavenly chocolate covered popcorn and Bravo on Sunday evening after the girls went to bed.
A nice down time moment!
Hope you enjoyed your weekend!
